SUMMER FETE & RAFFLE

Saturday, 4th July 2026, 11am - 3pm, in the car park and church hall

We are very excited that, for the first time in a long while, we will be holding a summer fete this year.  The theme for the fete is St. Chad’s 140th Birthday Party.

Things that will be happening include stalls in the church, a party tent with birthday presents, games in the car park, entertainment in the hall, refreshments, barbecue, a beer and prosecco tent and much more.

This is a very exciting time for St. Chad’s, BUT …….. We cannot do it without the support of you, the church family. We need as many people as possible to get on board and help, whether that be helping get ready and clear up, run a game in the car park, help decorate the church, car park and hall, bake cakes, help with the barbecue, deliver leaflets - the jobs are endless.

We will be selling stalls in the church, as we did for the Christmas Market, so if you would like to purchase a stall to sell your goods, please let the office know.

We will also need donations of raffle prizes. Here are some suggested donations you can make. All proceeds of the fete will go to church funds for our mission and ministry:

  • Holdall

  • Comics for children

  • Travel bag

  • A good novel and or magazine

  • Children’s Backpack

  • Puzzle book and pen

  • Beach bag

  • Kite

  • Beach towel/s

  • Beach ball

  • Sun Cream

  • Picnic blanket

  • Picnic set or individual picnic items

  • Sun Glasses (adult and children)

  • Children’s book (young and older)

  • Toiletry Bag

  • Toiletries

  • Colouring book/pencils

  • Frisbee

Please bring your donations to the church or the church office. Thank you. Winners will be announced at the Summer Fete on 4th July.

We will also need to borrow gazebos and sun umbrellas if anybody can loan any.

Please show your commitment to St. Chad’s by signing up next time you are in church and pledging some time to help on the day, the day before to get ready or after to clear up or to deliver some leaflets, or any of the other jobs listed. It will be a real fun day that you won’t want to miss out on.
