Our annual Shoebox Weekend is one of the biggest events in our church calendar, starting with our shoebox packing day where we pack boxes for the charity Teams4u. These make their way to vulnerable children in time for Christmas. All this would not be possible without your generosity in donations which we collect all year round. Below is a list of items we can include in our boxes:

For children:

 

• Teddies/soft Toys

• Soaps and flannels

• Toothbrush and toothpaste

• Drawing/writing books

• Pencils, pens, rubbers, pencil sharpeners

• Pencil cases

• Sweets

• Small toys i.e. cars, balls, games

• Hats, gloves and scarves

• Hairbrushes, combs, hairbands

For home boxes:

​

• Dishcloths/tea towels

• Candles

• Toiletries (soaps, flannels)

• Headscarves for adults

• Socks/underwear for adults

• Pegs

• Cooking utensils (not knives)

• Plastic bowls/cups

• Small decorative items/Christmas decorations

Every item donated will be very gratefully received by the families. Thank you.

Shoeboxes: to make sorting easier, this is what we will be collecting each month:

 

• November: anything at all that can go in a shoebox! If you could add just one item to your shopping trolley, it would be very appreciated. Soaps, toothpaste, colouring pencils, pads, sweets, hat, scarves, gloves, teddies or small toys are all very much appreciated!
